I made an excellent Black Bean Chili and that has been a tasty dinner the past few nights. You can click on the link to recipe that I have. I also decided to use some of the kale that was left over from juicing and put that in. The juicer cut it up really small, so there weren’t large chunks of green on some bites.
Today I am at 270.4 lbs and 35.7 BMI

Since I was able to complete a 20 day juice fast and then the holidays hit, I decided that I will try to juice twice a day and have a sensible meal.
I am currently at 272lbs. I started at a BMI of 39 and today I am at 35.9, soon I will be off the obese BMI scale and listed as overweight….woooooo hoooooo 🙂

Well, 2013 is over and its time to get back on track. I am at 275lbs, which I only gained about 3 or 4 lbs during the holidays. That is not bad at all. I still juiced, but, I did have several meals with family and friends.
It was weird that I didnt crave cake, pie and candy. I think I may have had 1 slice of pumpkin pie. I could normally eat a whole pie in a day or two, but, I didnt have a craving to do so. I almost craved juicing more than the food I was eating.
When I am at home not doing much, I seem to drink much more juice than when I am at work and 24oz lasts me from 8am to 1pm, then a second drink will last until I get home.

I added a few Fruit Infused Water Recipes. You can view them at:

Wow, made it to day 20. Looking from when I first started, I was thinking that it would take forever to get here, when in reality I got here quick.
I should have never started eating nuts and a salad here and there. In the past few days, I have only lost 1 lb. I have started to limit eating nuts and stopped eating salad. It should be noted that I eat little dressing when I have salad. I do not like to pour it all over.
I have to give kudos to Blenders in the Grass, they make it very easy to juice for lunch and for $6 it is a good value.

I did lose a very little bit (.04), but, something is better than nothing :).
With the upcoming holiday and since I have slowed on my weight loss, I will try to get at least day 20. I will try to limit what I eat and then get back on track.

I think that since I started eating a few nuts, that I started to plateau. I have noticed that since I started having nuts, that I would eat about a handful as part of my daily routine.
Overall, I feel fine with juicing, there are not as many cravings as before.

Today, starts day 14 and I am down 17lbs.
Yesterday at work, they were passing around a carrot cake for one of my co-workers birthday. I do really like carrot cake, but, it was almost too easy to say no thank you. I had no interest in wanting to eat sweets.
I am starting feel that I am getting much more energy now. During the past 13 days, I have felt that I had energy in reserve if I needed it. But, today I can definitely feel the energy.
I am still drinking warm water with lemon in the morning and only juicing.

Day 10 came surprisingly quickly. Overall I feel good. I sleep much better at night and can start to see a lighter me.
I wish I could say that I rewarded myself with a nice BBQ tri-tip meal, but, I didn’t. I did reward meeting my 10day goal with a salad. I tried ½ a bag of Taylor Farms Southwest Chopped Salad. It was tasty and satisfying.
Today starts my next 10 day juicing goal. The juicing is so easy. It is my mind that makes things hard. So hopefully the next 10 days will help reprogram my mind and not wanting to crave so much junk.

First goal met 🙂
I am down 13lbs. It is still hard to believe that all I am eating (drinking) is juice.
I have noticed the weight loss in my face and stomach is getting smaller. About day three, I was thinking that 10 days is a long ways away. Now that I am there, it was much easier than I thought it was going to be.
I have been trying different juice blends and starting to talk to more people about what I am doing.
